Let’s Prepare for Peace

Our Hypnobirthing Class, “Birth Harmony,” is not your classical Hypnobirthing Program. With custom hypnobirthing tracks, evidence based material, week-to-week preparation manual, couple's focused exercise, and LIVE Q&A with experienced birth workers - you’ll leave confidently prepared for your birth AND deeply connected to your partner.

  • After Samantha’s class, I have a much better understanding of hypnobirthing and love the time I set aside each day to practice and listen to Samantha’s calming voice on her hypnobirthing tracks. Even though this isn’t going to be my first labor, I feel better prepared

    (2nd Baby, Birth Center)

  • I feel so empowered... I highly recommend doing a fear release session and taking (Sam's) Hypnobirthing course. It is truly a transformative experience

(1st baby, Preparing for Birth Center)

  • This class was so impactful. Samantha has a presence that makes you feel so warm.

    ~ Mariya C.
(Doula, 2nd baby, preparing for home birth)

  • Her hypnobirthing classes and work on envisioning what I wanted my birth to be was so helpful. My partner and I tend to focus a little too much on details and research and needed a little help with emotionally preparing for what we wanted for our birth. She truly has a gift for this!

    ~ Valerie N.
    (1st Baby, Hospital Birth)

  • “I was also skeptical about how much Hypnobirthing could help since meditative things are hard for me, but I'm now forever a convert. I owe so much of the positive aspects of my birth to Sam and Hypnobirthing. "

Who’s the HypnoDoula?

Hi! I’m Samantha, IBH board certified hypnotherapist and women’s space-holder, dedicated to helping families cultivate a connected, peaceful birth & postpartum journey.

Over five years of supporting over 100+ families in both hypnobirthing class and in the birth room, I noticed two areas I wanted to emphasize in a program: partner-parent empowerment and the actual hypnosis program.

So, I condensed my 8-hour class to a 28-day program of just 10 mins of hypnosis and a little bit of research that parents can do together.

This program is created with physiologic, unmedicated birthing in mind and the deepest belief that instinctive birth has the power to strengthen women, partners, and humanity.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Hypnobirthing is as much a philosophy as it is a technique – it’s a rewarding, relaxing, stress-free method of birthing based on the belief that babies and mothers can have a gentle, calm, and joyful birth experience.

Hypnobirthing prepares mother and her partner physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally for an easier, more comfortable, stress-free birth.

Through a well-thought-out program of deep relaxation, self-hypnosis, special breathing techniques, visualizations, affirmations, and physiological education, Hypnobirthing returns to a woman the art of birthing in a way that allows her to summon her natural birthing instincts and to birth her baby safely and with ease.

Our Birth Harmony class though, focuses primarily on hypnosis and programing the mind for instinctual birth.

  • Our HypnoBirthing Class, “Birth Harmony,” is not a classical HypnoBirthing International Course, though heavily emphasizes the power of hypnosis in the birthing process.

We’ve created our own hypnotracks, preparation manuals, and program to support you in confidently preparing for your birth.

The ways our course differs from HypnoBirthing International is:

    1. We offer a few more tools for attuning our brain frequencies with hypnosis practice based in proven methods. It’s more than affirmations, we use self-hypnosis.

    2. We bring in practical exercises for partner bonding using meditation and non-violent communication frameworks to support preparing your partner bond before baby’s arrival.

    3. We offer week-by-week assignments to reduce the overwhelm that comes with researching and preparing for the birth of your baby, including postpartum suggestions.

Lastly, we also have a podcast with an array of sovereign birth podcasts, hypnobirthing meditations, and hypnosis tracks.

  • It’s best to begin this course in your second trimester (14 to 26 Weeks) for optimal preparation time.

  • Yes! Childbirth classes are eligible for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA) and health savings account (HSA). The Birth Harmony Course is a full childbirth education class that meets the requirements for reimbursement.

  • Yes! It’s been a dream of mine since becoming a doula to make birth education more accessible for those who can’t afford it. If you’re a medicaid card holder, we offer this class for FREE. Email samanthamarvels@gmail.com for more information.

  • You’ll have 1 year access, to the course as it is. There will likely be updates made to the course, and there could be an invitation to a different platform. But my promise is that you’ll have access to this information throughout your pregnancy and postpartum jounrey.

  • Our program is suitable for those of all faiths. We do refer to spiritual aspects of birth, but we do not reference religious text or point to any particular faith. We encourage connecting to the Earth and discuss grounding in the elements, as our biology benefits so greatly from recognizing this connection.

  • This content is suitable to anyone who embraces or identifies with the word “mother,” as I felt a deep calling to support those who embrace this aspect or adaptation of identity. While most of the mini-course is taught by other instructors, it’s my public disclosure that I honor both the sacred biology of the womb and female experience, as well as the various dynamics of family, partnership, and identity. All beings deserve love, empowerment, and support in their parenting journey.

  • In our class, we discuss that pain is a subjective experience. That said, we generally avoid ever using the word “pain” to describe birth, nor do we say the goal is to have a “pain free” birth. The goal instead is to feel at peace, empowered or sovereign during and after your birth, allowing the sensations to be whatever they will be along the way.
